Wind Power Electricity

Installing windmill is not that difficult. The technology is also very simple. The wind runs the wind turbine that has a copper coil inside it. Now the wind power is generated .Whenever the wind blows it makes the wheel to run in the windmill. The process is indeed very simple. The cost of manufacturing is also reasonable. So let us generate more wind power in the coming years and save world from global warming.

Electric power is a very essential resource to any country. Power is very much needed not only for residence and commercial use but also for industrial use. There are many ways to generate electric power. There are many types of power generated by different methods. They are thermal power, hydro power, wind power, tidal power and nuclear power. This article mainly discusses about wind power. What is wind power? The power generated by using wind energy is called wind power. Wind is a natural energy that we don’t use much.

However, in the recent years man has started using wind energy to generate wind power. Wind has energy. When wind blows, it will have the energy to run a wind turbine. When the wind turbine is rotated, electric power is generated. Man has been using wind energy for many thousand years. First man started to use wind energy to run his boats and ships. In some places they had used to lift water from well. Now many countries produce wind power all over the world. They use wind turbine to produce electricity. India is one of the countries that produce wind power largely.

You can’t produce wind power in all places. You need a strong wind that blows hard to run a wind turbine. Therefore, we cannot set up a windmill project at places where the wind force is mild. In some places, the wind force is greater and suitable for the power generation. Hence, it is obvious that wind power has its own limitations. If you are willing to set up a windmill and generate power the selection of location is very important. If you install a windmill and then realize that there is no adequate wind energy there to run your wind turbine, then what is the use?

In some developing countries like India, the Government offers subsidies to those who set up industrial units to produce wind power. Sometimes the government’s electrical department enters into a buy back agreement with the promoter. The wind power generation is relatively lower than the other forms of power generation. In the year 2007, it was estimated that only about 1% of power was generated by wind energy. But the scope for this wind power is enormous in future.

All countries will need to go for wind power in future, as the resources to produce electric power by other means such as thermal energy, hydro and nuclear are becoming less in the present days. The future for wind power is tremendous. I hope all of us would view this matter more seriously and produce more wind power in our countries.
